Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
The essential qualification for all departments is a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline or in the area
advertised, with a first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) in the preceding degree, and a
consistently strong academic record throughout. However, candidates who hold a Ph.D. in other areas
are also eligible to apply if their recent research work falls within the advertised areas.
Experience Requirements
The experience criteria vary depending on the post level:
Assistant Professor
- Grade II: Fresh PhD candidates eligible
- Grade I: Minimum 3 years post-PhD experience
Associate Professor
- Minimum 6 years of experience
- At least 3 years at the Assistant Professor level
Professor
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- At least 4 years as an Associate Professor
