DRDO DEBEL Recruitment 2026: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has released a notification for young graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in advanced defence technologies. The Defence Bioengineering & Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL), based in Bengaluru, has invited applications for Graduate Apprentice Trainees for the 2026–27 session.

Stipend

• 12,300 per month stipend

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following conditions:

• Must not have undergone any prior apprenticeship training
• Must not have one year or more of work experience
• Graduation must be completed within the last five years
• Only candidates who passed out in 2022 or later are eligible
• The degree must be completed as a regular (not distance) course

Duration of Training

• The apprenticeship will be for 1 year from the date of contract signing

Candidates who fail to complete the duration will not receive a certificate.

Selection Process

The selection will be straightforward and merit-driven:

• Based on the marks obtained in graduation
• Followed by interaction/interview (if required)
• Final selection by a board constituted by the DEBEL Director

Terms & Conditions for Selection of Apprentices:

• It is mandatory for candidates to enroll themselves on National Apprenticeship Training Scheme
  (NATS) portal before applying for apprenticeship training.
• Only pass-out candidates who have completed their graduation degree in the year 2022 or later You
  are eligible to apply.
• Only candidates who have completed their qualifying degree as regular candidates are eligible to
  apply.
• Duration of apprenticeship: 1 year from the execution of the contract of Apprenticeship.
• Students who do not complete the duration of the internship will not be awarded the internship
  certificate.
• No TA & DA shall be admissible for joining if selected
• Selected candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay & transport in Bangalore
• Antecedents of the candidate will be verified again at the time of joining, if selected.
• The offer of an Apprenticeship does not confer any right of employment in DRDO.
• The number of vacancies are tentative, may increase/decrease.
